Modroc
Plaster of Paris Bandage
~ 15cm x 2.7M~
A fine gauze material impregnated with quick drying plaster ideal for creating casts or moulding shapes. The handy sized bandages are a quick and easy way to create large structures which are light but strong. Ideal for a wide range of modelling activities including mask making, landscapes, scenery and sculptures. It is versatile, hard wearing, fast and easy to use and provides excellent definition and detail whilst offering a greater resistance to chipping than standard modelling plaster.
The bandages are easy to use, cut a length, dip in water, shake of excess and apply immediately smoothing out air pockets whilst pressing and moulding to the required shape. For creating different terrain the bandages can be applied directly over formed modelling mesh, chicken wire or screwed up newspapers. Modroc can be applied smooth or scrunched up to create texture. Several layers may be required. The bandage sets quickly and models are generally hard enough to handle after half an hour but ideally require 24 hours to fully harden and dry. Models can then be painted and/or sealed, finished as required.
You will receive individually wrapped rolls of modroc measuring approx. 15cm x 2.75 Metres and a full instruction leaflet.
